Ireland visa tracking and weekly decision lists

How Ireland visa tracking works: which offices publish weekly decision lists, why New Delhi publishes daily, and how students and agencies can track a decision.

By VisaRelay · Reviewed

The quick answer

Irish visa offices publish decisions as lists you can search by application number. Dublin updates its list every Tuesday and some offices publish weekly decision reports, but the New Delhi Visa Office publishes a new list every morning by about 11:00 India time. Search your 8-digit number in the current list, or use VisaRelay to check it and watch for it.

What Ireland visa tracking can tell you

Tracking an Irish visa usually means one thing: finding out whether a decision on your application has been published. Irish visa offices publish their decisions as lists, and you search those lists with your application number.

The New Delhi Visa Office says on its decisions page that it is receiving a very high volume of applications and that status updates will not be provided. The published list is where applicants can look for their own outcome.

Weekly decisions or daily? It depends on the office

The Dublin visa office publishes its recent decisions every Tuesday. Several embassy visa offices, including Abu Dhabi, Abuja and Ankara, publish weekly decision reports. That is why many applicants search for Ireland visa weekly decisions.

New Delhi works differently. Each morning, by about 11:00 India time, it publishes a list of the visa outcomes made so far this year, up to the previous day. If your application is decided by New Delhi, check that list every working day rather than waiting for a weekly report.

The list is cumulative. A new file covers every decision since 1 January, so search the whole file for your number rather than only the newest rows.

How to track a New Delhi decision

  1. Find your 8-digit application number

Use the AVATS application number from your visa application summary. A VFS receipt number, courier code or passport number will not match the list.

  2. Search the latest list

Open the current file from the Embassy page and search for the full number, or enter it in VisaRelay’s free checker. The Decision cell on the same row reads Approved or Refused.

  3. Let the list be watched for you

If your number is not listed yet, VisaRelay can watch each new list and email you when it appears, with a link to the official source. This is optional and paid once.

Ireland visa tracking for agencies and consultants

An agency or education consultant tracking many clients faces the same list many times over. VisaRelay’s agency dashboard keeps each client label, application number and published result together, and sends one email to the agency when new decisions appear. Clients are never contacted by us.

Seats are prepaid, never expire and are used only for numbers that are not yet listed. An already published number is answered free.

How long until a decision appears

New Delhi’s published first-instance processing time for study applications is 4 to 8 weeks. It counts working days from when the Embassy receives your application to the date of decision, so VFS appointment waits and courier transit come on top.

The Embassy states these times are not guaranteed. Biometric clearance and in-depth verification are among the reasons it gives for a delay.

What tracking cannot tell you

A number that is not on the list yet tells you only that no decision has been published for it. It does not show where the application is inside the office, and it does not predict a date.

VFS tracking is a separate service with separate updates, such as documents arriving or being returned. VisaRelay tracks New Delhi’s published decisions only. It is independent and not part of the Embassy of Ireland, the Irish Immigration Service or VFS Global.
